Kerbal Arms Race Program

They're out of the box, that's for sure. While I tend to make things that you would likely see in real life, you went ahead and said, nope, lol.

Yeah lol, my Tri-Jet is 71 tons fully loaded, yet with all of its engine power I can still accelerate myself to death even on half power to the engines.

So I converted a model of my Tri-jet into a Tri-plane, mainly to use the thing as target practice.

In using this thing for target practice, I have come to the conclusion that this design is one of the most robust and reliable that's been made in this game lol. After catching a Sidewinder missile along with several dozen 20mm rounds from Vulcan guns in one of my fighters, the plane lost nearly the entire left side, one of the tail fins and over half of its engines.

But did it even give a ****?
Hardly.

Even managed to land it successfully on the runway.

I recently downloaded the Kerbal Armory mod, and I've been tinkering with aircraft I made prior to installing the mod. I had already designed a lot of them with particular combat roles in mind, so now I just have to add the corresponding weapons to each design. I'll post a few when I'm done.

I've got lots of new designs, satellite killer included, that I need to share.

Can't wait to see what you throw into the fray lol.

I downloaded the mod a week or so ago, but I really didn't like it and uninstalled it the same day.

I don't see why lol, unless you were just bad at making weaponized vehicles.

I just don't think KSP and weapons fit together. I put missiles on the existing science planes and wasnt very satisfied with how they worked.

They work just fine for me, you probably just didn't do it right lol.

All of my newer successful designs, starting with my Expeditionary Mk2. It has the ability to climb into orbit and once there it's capable of destroying things in space either by using two lasers or one of four KV missiles dropped from its cargo bay, which use RCS thrusters to make its way to its target. Back on Kerbin it's a capable bomber that holds more ordnance than my Tri-Jet, although the Tri-Jet is more agile and reliable.
Image

My Ci-Jet, simply a single wing fighter-bomber variant of the Tri-Jet, more nimble but with much less speed and weaponry.
Image

My Mosquito Mk1. This tiny fighter works as an interceptor, it can fly fast enough to burn itself to death without much effort thanks to the incredibly lightweight. It's also capable of turning nearly on a dime, a couple of these in a dogfight can take down just about any other aircraft. They're armed with 30,000 20mm rounds and six hidden Vulcan's.

This is my UAV. It's a UAV.
Image

The Cage, this thing is one of my earlier rover designs with a giant armored cage built around it. The cage is several layers thick on all sides but the rear, and it's capable of surviving direct collisions with buildings and walking away unscathed. Several Hellfire missiles are needed to crack it open and score a kill from the front.
Image

Lastly, my Ultra Heavy Weapons Platform. This monster has missiles mounted for any and every situation. When those run dry, it has an Abrams turret and a little over a dozen .50 caliber turrets to fall back on.
