If you have any pieces you want to present without...overwhelming criticism, this might be the place to do it.
Hearts are wasted, lives are broken, and people go missing.

I don't read very much poetry, but of the poetry I do read I am extremely fond of the works of Wilfred Owen, a WW1 soldier who wrote poems of his experiences.
Heres the first one of his I read.

"What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?
--Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries for them from prayers or bells,
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,-
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.
"

I remember having to read and comment on the different aspects of that poem in my English class last year for a test. That's just a small excerpt, right. Wasn't the poem a little bit longer?

Bringing back this thread because I wanted to share something I wrote recently.
Hope you like it.

Who are you?
Who are me?
What do we pretend to be?

We push up.
Could push down.
Smiling with a frown.

Burn through sun.
Tunnel through sky.
Kick through grainy rye.

Sleep through fabric.
Laugh through pain.
Cringe through the lightning rain.

You and I.
Can't we lie?
You and I?
Cant we try?
You. And. I?
