Yeah it did, at the part where Teddy is thinking about Ivy and Mary and never seeing them again, cause the fact that they never got a proper goodbye, Ivy in particular, is heartbreaking IMO.

And I'll edit the silencer out.

Yeah I feel terrible for them. They're going through the same thing Maggie is going through with Beth, where they never got to say goodbye and what not. It's a little different, but what's probably the worst is that they can't even bury him.

Yeah, Malorie would have used all of the energy in her body to dig him a proper grave and put him there, but that'd jeopardize her safety too much in the heart of Melbourne.
When Ivy lays eyes on Malorie, it's going to be the biggest mixture of being overjoyed and emotionally ripped apart, knowing Malorie is alive but getting the solid confirmation that Teddy is dead and she'll never get to see him again.

Trivia time!

I originally planned for Ivy to die before Teddy, this changed when Lori died in TWD, thanks to Rick's dip towards insanity being too close to what would have happened to Teddy.

I considered having Teddy die earlier in the series twice, I wrote out a version of the Alyssa fight where she succeeded in killing him in the cabin before being taken out by Malorie in the same way she died in the final version of the post. I undid this because I wanted to have interactions with Malorie and Mary once they were old enough to remember the interactions, lest he be like Max was to Cora. The second time he was going to die was the attack on the Texas oil refinery, but then I decided a death away from his family wouldn't allow for anywhere near enough closure.

Mary was going to wind up with Malorie and Teddy, but I decided against this mainly because I wanted to have Malorie surviving on her own. Not to mention Ivy wouldn't have accepted leaving Melbourne if her entire family was still there.

Lingering Nightmare is 214,228 words, which is about 12,000 shorter than Endless Seas.

It's still like 70% of the original RP though.

I'll be adding substantially to this in editing, including the mission Michelle was gonna go on that I shelved.

So I was just searching through random audio files on my computer out of boredom and stumbled upon a few that took me a second before I realized they were computer voices reading the part where everyone has just been captured. I'm a bit confused because I don't have any of this RP saved to my computer yet lol.

I feel like the biggest problem in the RP is how fast the Last Judgment became what they are now.

Like, Ivy's flashback of Cassandra getting raped and hung was two days after the **** apocalypse started, rofl. The zombies hasn't even reached the entire US at that point.

Have you followed any murder/rape cases before? There are PLENTY of people who will do stuff worse than that without the dead walking the earth lol.

BUT I was wanting to possibly add a timeskip in before Ivy's rescue when we go back to do the editing to make it so Ivy being half starved actually makes sense and so there is a bit more of an excuse for the Last Judgement's behavior along with a bit more time for them to form. I don't doubt already bad people would take more than two days to start committing atrocities post outbreak, but it would take more than two days for them to all get together and form the gang.

Just got home btw, reading the new posts in Shifting Tide and IISWF now.
