Map recommendations for ZOS on iOS

Postby Saxon » Fri Mar 29, 2013 8:10 am

Hi everyone,

I'm getting close to finishing an update to ZOS for iOS, to bring back Google Maps.

My plans for this update are to have a choice of 5 offline maps (the ones which are in the current version of iZOS), plus 10 online maps (using Google maps).

I was planning to use the 10 Google maps which were in the previous version of iZOS, but there is a problem with two of them:

1. One of them is the Leicester map which is already in the offline maps, so there's no point including it again.
2. One of them is this map in Florida, where Google have changed the images and so the collision map no longer lines up.

I could cut it back to 8 Google maps, but I'd rather bring it back up to 10 Google maps. So I need 2 more maps.

So, I was wondering if you have any recommendations for maps from http://www.class3outbreak.com, which I could include in the next update? I'm looking for a combination of an interesting location, great Google image quality, not too close to the other 8 maps (there are already plenty in Europe) and of course the collision map needs to be well edited!

Thanks! :)

Thanks everyone.

I couldn't narrow it down to just 2, so I decided to bring it up to a total of 15 maps, by adding these 7:

http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/320/ ... sa/games/1
http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/752/ ... d5/games/1
http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/1117 ... sa/games/1
http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/1302 ... sa/games/1
http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/1401 ... ca/games/1
http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/4932 ... il/games/1
http://www.class3outbreak.com/maps/7691 ... es/games/1

For the authors of these maps, let me know if you want me to put your real name (or some other name) into the credits instead of your name on c3o.com (otherwise I will just use what appears under 'Map Author' on the map page).

I'm fine with the name that shows up under 'Map Author' (which is 'coinsruledude' anyway, so yeah).
