ZOS for iOS app rejections

Postby Saxon » Tue Jan 01, 2013 7:45 am

Hi all,

While I'm finishing up the start position update, I thought it might be amusing to write up the details of all of the times which Apple have rejected Zombie Outbreak Simulator, as a kind of behind-the-scenes look at the 'fun' times Jay and I had over the last year :) Here it is:

Honestly reading that made me a little angry lol. If I was ever on the ropes about trying apples stuff that pushed me even further to stick with android, hardcore censorship bothers me so much and that "Just because we approved other apps who broke the guidelines doesn't mean we should approve yours" made me want to punch a baby lol. You are a more patient man than I am Saxon.

I was pretty angry when I read that too, but the fact that they featured the app so much AND expedited the review kinda made me unsure what to think.

There was much 'grumbling' by Jay and I behind the scenes as these things were going on ;)

But yeah, overall the staff favorite feature and expedited review kind of balance out all of the rejections :)

There are pros and cons to Apple's closed vs Android's open approach. At some point I'd like to try porting ZOS to Android, so I'll get to find out what things are like on that platform then.
